What color is white?
White reflects all visible wavelengths equally, and on a screen it is every channel at full strength, #FFFFFF. In design almost nobody uses pure white for large areas: off-whites such as ivory, snow, linen or cream carry a faint warm or cool tint that is easier on the eye.

White with white and black text
WCAG asks for a contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text (AA) and 3:1 for large text. On a white background, black text is the better choice.
